Time to change the profile pic on facebook, twitter et al?
So there I was, frozen in a tortuous position on the gym floor, grimacing as the seconds ticked by. The exercise was meant to strengthen my abs and I thought I was about to explode.
“Don’t look like that,” said my trainer.
“Like what?,” I said through gritted teeth.
“Like that cat in Shrek-what’s his name (English is not my trainer’s first language, so he was struggling to remember the name), when he has that expression he puts on to get people to do what he wants.”
I nearly fell to the floor in surprise. I knew what expression he meant. A has said for years that I have a couple of puss-in-boots looks, but I thought it was limited to my crazy husband thinking his wife resembled a feline.
So apparently, I look like this when I am trying to wriggle out of an exercise:

A says I also do the evil puss look:
I can only hope my whiskers aren’t as prominent.

You know, that second (evil) picture – I looked at it & thought – damn! it DOES look like her!
Come here so I can brandish my sword at you
Ha, ha! Good one. I am sure you are flattered by the comparison
. I love the first expression. Please do keep it. It might help now and then!
Anjali, I don’t make that expression deliberately (would be quite pathetic if I did!)…so I don’t really know when it’s on my face!
That’s too funny. Now I have to see the real one for a fair comparison
Sands-hint: “tweet tweet”
So funny! Coincidentally, I sometimes call my daughter Puss in Boots!!
Does she also have cat-like expressions?
My daughter, an avid “dog person” would hate to have it said of her that she has cat-like expressions. No, she sometimes wears boots in the winter, and then there is a certain jauntiness to her stride that reminds me of Puss in Boots!
Ha ha! “jaunty” is the right word! We are also dog people but have grown very fond of cats while being in the UK.
