Tamil songs I love and don’t understand (with videos that sometimes make me cringe)-4

Staying with the Kangalal theme (what on earth does Kangalal mean by the way-I always imagine a small Sikh boy with the Sikh wooden comb!):

I think “kangalaal” means “with the eyes” and “kaidhu sei” means something like stop, capture, or arrest. So it would mean, roughly, “stop, capture, or arrest, with the eyes”.

Yep, Kamini is right. Kann is eye. Kanga-laal is with the eyes.

Inspite of being a Tamilian(well, almost), i have only heard songs #2 & #4 and havent seen the picturization. Knowing the film scene saves us i suppose.

Have you heard this one, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efds45hGp7Y fits in with rest of your songs.

Thats one of my fav songs by Rahman. Unfortunately the music sang coz of the lousy movie made by kathir.
