Some time ago, someone gave me a cd “Thaanam” of Rama Varma playing the Veena, which, has among other things, a very beautiful Behag. The cd isn’t available commercially, so it’s nice to see his Behag on youtube (and some Kapi and Mishra Pilu). A meeting of Hindustani and Carnatic music:

Beautiful piece . Mesmerizing music from the celestial instrument of saraswathi . The sounds goes so deep in our soul thanks to rama varma.
The sounds of the strings from veena made me to fall in love with the instrument. Hope I will have chance to learn to play this instrument again someday in future. May be my son will fulfill my dream ; ).
