AFAIK.

Deshakshi takes the same as bilahari but has a sthayi-based existence.
Just like the relationship navroj and kuranji have to Shankarabharana or Nadanamakriya has to mayamalavagauLa. Even if I know how things grammatically work I am simply astounded by how a ragam sounds totally different with just some limits imposed and some boundary conditions established (no sancharas beyond ni etc)
