		<description>Not that I&#039;d question the perversity or bloodymindedness of India&#039;s (or anyone else&#039;s) bureaucracy, to be fair it can take longer than six years for British parents to adopt British children in Britain.  By any standards, our procedures are too cumbersome for would-be adoptive parents&#039; sanity or - more to the point - children&#039;s welfare.</description>
